Re: Machining block

I think you are spot on with everything you say - and the delay is definitely my doing. I started down that path but then, half way through, got side tracked by another project which has been taken up all my time for last few weeks. I will get back at it in late May. The plan is to actually start us...

I can only try out Shape, which seems to work fine, I would go with that.

Re: How do I get rid of this bounding box

There are really 2 problems with the bounding box, one is that it behaves differently than anything else in FC. The old behaviour was preferable because it didn't get in the way. Not being able to select something is a deficiency and should get fixed, having a bounding box pop up is confusing and di...

Re: How do I get rid of this bounding box

With the latest update whenever a Job or one of the ops is selected I get a wire frame bounding box. Anybody know how to get rid of that it's quite irritating. Also the arrows seem to always point CW, regardless of which way the path actually points. I can add a selection style of None to disable t...

mhh - works for me. What are your settings for the tags?
Also, could you update to the latest git repo and try again?

Re: libarea dependency

I missed the boost-python dependency - I agree with everything you said.

Having said that, sliptonic is currently looking into making libarea a core component of Path, so we probably need to wait for the results of that to figure out what and how to deal with this.

Re: no holding tags on round parts

Interestingly a cylinder has always been a test object for the holding tags - and I just tried it still seems to work (at least the way I tested it).

Could you share your file?

Coolest thing I've seen in a while - I think I'll have to become an "architect" .... :D
Thanks sliptonic, this is truly Great! (yes, with a capital G)
