Re: Shoelast

Hi again! I tried to attach an stl-file of a shoelast but the file is too large (altough it's only 4Mb). I'll get the file to microelly2 in another way so soon you'll be seeing some pictures of it :-) In a perfect world, that would be the output of the freecad-model with the following data (I refer ...

Re: Shoelast

Hi there. Once again impressive work! If I could help with anything, let me know. This new functionality isn't totally clear to me with respect to designing the last (what is it you're thinking about?) but maybe it would be very useful if you wanted to design the (leather) parts that would make up t...

Re: Shoelast

Besides the weight of the poles for finetuning, can you drag the knots to change the geometry?

Re: Shoelast

And the crowd goes wild! :) well done once again! Really! I still needed to share my system to construct lasts. It would be nice if it could help to further develop the model. It's not clear from the pictures but no last is "flat" from left to right (so to speak) if you look at the bottom ...

Re: Shoelast

Nice!! That looks right! I am working on an instruction of geometric preconditions for an average foot. With these formulas the model would build a last which can be used to make shoes you can actually wear and walk with. For example the tip of the last should be cleared from the ground depending on...

Re: Shoelast

Hi Good to have you back :) Amazing what progress the model is making. The feature of a plane cut is really interesting. What it should be able to do is to import a 3d scan of a foot and align the scan with the model. Next for each plane cut, you see 2 curves: one is from the 3d scan and the other i...

Re: Shoelast

Regarding the nummer of control points for sole contour: my suggestion would be: if you devide a sole in 12 equal parts, for an average foot you land on "interesting anatomical areas", e.g. base of 5th metatarsal which is the start to measure waist (IMHO). For an actual foot, you would be ...
