Well, my part was not really complex (the cylinder).
I have only very little experience until now, but for the 3 parts I did in the last days the problem disappeared when I reduced the height of the tag.

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
I found something: the height of the tags has an influence on the problem. I changed my height of tags and could either find a corrupted path or a smooth wonderful cylindrical path. h > 4mm -> problem h < 4mm -> ok Maybe this explains also why you have the problem sometimes and sometimes not, with t...

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
I can't believe it!
Yours works!
Even with tags in the cylinder!
Thanks.
But the question remains: what causes the problem and what could we do to avoid it???

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
Hi HerbK, by the way, my name is Jean-Claude (jcf), but that is not important :) I tried your file, and it worked. That's fine, but: You have no tags in the cylindrical part of the contour! (This I had found also!) However I don't want to have the cutout cylinder flying around. So I would need a tag...

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
@herbk Would you mind trying the halter_proxxon.FCStd from above and post the result with path and G code? Indeed I would like to mill this part and for the moment I cannot do it. I have not however had the effect that you describe. For me, the path was always messed up for a cylinder. But maybe tha...

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
Maybe you wonder why I stubbornly insist on my cylinder. At the beginning I wanted to mill the attached part. Everything is fine if I deactivate the tag in the cylindrical part, but with this one the path is corrupted. OS: Linux Mint 19 (X-Cinnamon/cinnamon) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of Free...

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
i'm wondering how you are able to get a file size of 5.7 Mib, with only a simple cylinder and a path Job to mill it... Oops! I was very astonished too, but now I understand. Pardon me. Here is a new attempt for my cylinder. It shows the same problem however in FreeCAD 0.19 What have I done ...

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
I already found myself for the macro bug: the naming of the classes has changed: it must be import PathScripts.PathJobCmd instead of import PathJobCmd So there must be a bug in the macro recorder! There are some other misspelled modules that were recorded and must be renamed. ----------------- But a...

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
What is more strange, the macro Path problem exists also in FreeCAD 0.18.4 stable >>> import FreeCAD >>> import Part >>> import PathJobCmd Traceback (most recent call last): File "<input>", line 1, in <module> ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'PathJobCmd' >>> OS: Linux Mint 19 Word siz...
