That version of libcoin was the problem!
After uninstalling it, I could finally open my files. Thanks.

[SOLVED] 0.17 (and 0.18) crashes when trying to open 0.16 files
Hello everyone. As the title says, I've just updated to 0.17 and I can no longer open any of my files. Be it 0.17 or the daily version, it just computes whatever when I try to open anything and then crashes. After giving a try, it appears that I can't create a new file and enter a workbench or open ...

Re: perspective projection
@microelly2
I'm very interested by this perspective projection tool, but I must say I don't really understand how integrate it into freecad, even after using auto-translation on the blog page.
Could give a quick step by step ?
Thanks

Re: Export to Blender - Size problem
Thanks, I've always used wavefront. I did find a a workaround: - Export as obj (I used wavefront obj) - Import it in blender - Select all mesh objects, and export as obj from blender. The export dialog gives you the opportunity to scale the model (so 0.001). - Import this new file in blender (where ...

Re: Export to Blender - Size problem
Ok, I've finally noticed that it's possible to set an import scale with an stl object. However, said import is monolithic, which isn't very useful.
Is there any way to do the same thing with an obj file ?

Export to Blender - Size problem
Hi, I've been trying to import my model into blender to try and render it with a bit more options than what the internal module allows, but I've stumbled on an unexpected problem: whatever I do, the imported object (the house, whether in obj or in stl) is too big and I can't work on it. I've tried c...

Hatching walls - Question to Yorik
Yorik, back in October, you talked in one of your blog posts of a new display setting derived from wireframe where the bottom was a hatch (which transfered nicely to a 2d view). Have you ever gotten around including it in the daily version (and if so, how can it be accessed ?) Alternatively, could s...

Techdraw, Section and View
I seem to have run into some kind of weakness. As far as I understand, there is no way to add measure to a techdraw view created a section. On the other hand, you can simply insert views of parts with which it is possible to use the various measure tools. However, you then get a side view of the par...

Modifying a roof structure
Well, here I went and did it. After tinkering with my base model for a long time, it just became too much of a mess and I had to remake everything, which went well and much faster than before... Until it came to the roof. I made an A-frame on which everything else is based, and after finishing I rea...
