So there is no simple workaround since I need a node set and not an element set.

Creating a group of nodes for a volume

Is there a simple way to define a Boundary conditions for a group of nodes related to a volume?
I tried different ways without success (Fem Mesh Group or Node Sets). In the end, I do not find the node set in the Input file.

You want to simulate the testing of a specimen with a fixed displacement. You wan to know the reaction force. Maybe this approach is not the correct one and a dialog box would be preferable to handle the different options. I am having a look at Qt Designer and at the way the material property dialog is defined. I may have some questions ....
