beginner - help to simulate an electric gate
Hello. Having an argumentation with the manufacturer of the motor of my gate. I have sketched the main elements in the attached file. Sketch 1 corresponds to the uppter situation; sketch 2 to the lower one: http://picpaste.com/Untitled-McziwIUV.jpg The difference is how the motor is located compared...

Re: How to make a sketch usable as external reference ?
My brain has too few cells to be able to remember all names of people I talk to. I had tried to attache a sketch to the face of various solids before writing this post, and in 0.16, all failed. Attaching works, but the attached sketch can not be used as external source before it has been used for an...

Re: How to make a sketch usable as external reference ?
I edited both posts to add files. First service should be my provider special sharing service; second is google, and worked for some guy on IRC. Long time ago, Internet used to be a universal place where the geographical location of an IP only affected the download rate, not the possibility to acces...

Re: How to make a sketch usable as external reference ?
Seems unrelated, but I have isolated a bug which, if solved, would be a solution to my problem: Link below or https://drive.google.com/a/demaine.info/file/d/0B21isvLhQPTyVFpqVF96c2l4RTA/view?usp=sharing one sketch, 4 lines, when I do a Arch / Walls, I only get 3 walls. That file has no missing coinc...

How to make a sketch usable as external reference ?
Hello. See link to file at bottom of this post, or try this one: http://dl.free.fr/sNbW6TIwN I drew a sketch. It's a set of references for future uses. To be usable as external from other works, it needs to become a solid. I have tried half a dozen things on it, and all fail for various reasons. htt...

Re: Loading image produces grey rectangle
OpenGL is so much older than my cards, how could my chipset not support all of it ? I really rather think it's an Xorg issue; acceleration works only on one monitor, while it should work on two (out of 6: 3 cards with 2 monitors each, Xinerama accepts acceleration only on first card). I have sys-lib...

Re: Loading image produces grey rectangle
NormandC give me commands, I will paste outputs. I would not complain, because, FreeCAD was installed via NIX, so, NIX could be compiled for a version of X very different from the one I actually have. What surprises me is that pictures work in some interfaces, and, in the classic 3D view, wire views...

Re: Loading image produces grey rectangle
After sending my FCAD file on a pastebin, other people could see my picture, while, I could not. This means, the procedure I use to insert my picture is good, and, my FreeCAD produces a correct file; the problem is a bug, either in how my FreeCAD renders pictures, or around Xorg. So, there is a bug,...

Re: Inappropriate "Duplicate Constraint Not Allowed" Error Message?
I get the message very often while deleting only one element. As a beginner, I was wondering if I had done a bad design, or broken my sketch; after reading this, I understand it's a bug in the app. OS: "Gentoo Base System release 2.2" Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Ve...
