Re: Several more PartDesign or UI bugs?

It is not "atomic physic" as you put it but parametric CAD in general is not yet best match for people not willing to learn and work hard and instead of limitations to find solutions. Why should I spend time to "learn" about something that doesn't work? I am not an idiot so I wo...

Re: Several more PartDesign or UI bugs?

I see basically what you are saying is you did not get any help here... No, I got responses from people and as the post above says from you I got: To be honest all I got from you was continuing persuasion that the program works stellar and that I just have to adjust to it and not the other way arou...

Re: Several more PartDesign or UI bugs?

Well yesterday you where stuck at enabling Draft Grid for example and because of that there is no point in you making statements like that. I am here for some time now and i am quite sure i have a lot more learning to do. Sometimes it just turns out i am doing it wrong and it is not limitation of F...

Re: Several more PartDesign or UI bugs?

Simply put FreeCAD is only capable of doing single part in one go ATM. You can not use 2D sketch as a basis to build set of more complex parts on top of it. Eventually I realized most of its limitations in its current version. You can however use a 2D sketch as a basis to build a set of more comple...

Re: Several more PartDesign or UI bugs?

This discussion is not appropriate in the Part Design forum, which as its description says is About the development of the Part Design module/workbench. Since general questions and comments about the whole of FreeCAD have been made, I'm moving this to the Open Discussion forum. I did ask about this...

Re: Several more PartDesign or UI bugs?

If that would be true (and it is not) you would still be at the beginning. It would (and it is) so I guess I am still at the beginning (I will not use/learn to use python scripting any time soon). If by "not learning everything" you meant I didn't yet learn how to avoid the current bugs t...

Re: Several more PartDesign or UI bugs?

I gave you 2 links. One is on how to enable snap mode and second on how to enable grid. You did not read the second link and did not enable the grid yet. Aargh, why is that option hidden? Why isn't it implemented as a button? Why does the "floating baloon text" above the togglegrid icon d...

Re: PartDesign Mirrored crash

Yes this is normal behaviour.
Normal? I was sure I found another bug. At least there is a workaround available and if it gets fixed in the future, great.
Yes that could indicate FreeCAD bug.
OK I will report it tomorrow.

Re: Several more PartDesign or UI bugs?

From the perspective we talked about this isn’t true. Once you will get to know Draft Workbench and Sketcher a bit more you will see they are intended for different purpose and therefore do need different sets of tools and optimal modelling techniques differs too. Hm, maybe I just need to get used ...
