Re: PD NEXT: Mapping change and support

Hi!
I don't like the idea of clearing the support if the attachment mode is incompatible. This can mess with attachment editor quite seriously.

And I don't understand your problem. Can you explain it in a more bug-report manner, i.e. give step-by-step instructions, what you expect and what happens?

Hack of the day: add a method to Part.Shape (don't do that!)

Hi! The more I get to know python, the more stupid things I can come up with. Here is one interesting. Run this: def meth(self, arg): print self.Area import gc gc.get_referents(Part.Shape.__dict__)[0]["meth"] = meth Now, all Shape objects have the new method meth ! >>> App.ActiveDocument.S...

Help! Assert in python gc [solved]

Hi! I'm developing a unified container interface object, and Py bindings for it. I've made some progress, and now that I've added Py bindings, I get an assertion fail in Python garbage collector on FreeCAD startup: gc assert.png This happens almost instantly. If I click Skip twice, FreeCAD starts up...

Re: Sketcher Angle Constraints

Hi!
Blue constraints are powered by the same code as red constraints, so values 30 and 30+n*360 have the same meaning.

Re: Installing the PathWorkBench

Hi!
Path workbench is included with FreeCAD and cannot be installed separately.
Please post your FreeCAD version, as instructed in https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2264

Re: Sketcher mini-features

Well, if I'm using save-as, I am likely wanting to save a file with a different name than what it used to be. Hence pre-filling the old one doesn't make much sense. And proper directory is opened by default.

For exporting, prefill it with feature name. IMO makes perfect sense.

Re: Sketcher mini-features

BTW, Part-o-magic has an Exporter feature, which does a similar but different thing.

Re: Sketcher mini-features

I'd be grateful if you also fill in current filename of a saved FreeCAD project when doing a save-as. EDIT. Actually, no, don't do that
