Re: Add a Global Toolbal from a Workbench

You betcha it's achievable, part-o-magic is no magic  In InitGui, you should import a py file that will register your commands, and also modify some parameters to create the toolbar. See this: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=21389 and PoM's GlobalToolbar.py: https://github.com/Deep...

Re: Question about Part Feature

triplus wrote:Part feature with added 2 Body features. Is this a Part or an Assembly?
I'd say, both. It's a Part, which is itself an assembly of parts.

It's a question of how you want to call them, not what they are. You already said what they are: two Bodies in a Part container.

Re: pad and revolve the same sketch

Hi! The easiest way to achieve it is to use Part Sweep . Padding and revolving a single sketch twice is impossible within 0.16's PartDesign. But you can do it with Part Revolve and Part Extrude. PartDesign in v0.17 allows you to revolve/extrude an arbitrary face, effectively letting you to extrude/r...

Re: ana(conda) windows packaging

Since this is outside of sketcher, can we now be sure that RTTI has not been created by the compiler? Also considering this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5155820/portably-safe-to-pass-null-zero-to-dynamic-cast which tells me it's actual lack of RTTI data, not a false-positive caused by a null ...

Re: Idea/Feature request on Pad a selected sketch

If you attach sketches to faces of solids, or use vertices/edges of solids as external geometry in sketches, as soon as you switch the setting and force recompute your model, the links will break. This is because FreeCAD remembers face/edge/vertex index for these links, and if face/edge/vertex count...

Re: Flipping a part ?

You can turn the body upside down, no problem at all. Interesting things will begin if you make another body and start importing stuff from that other body with e.g. shapebinders.

Re: Question about Part Feature

Is current PartDesign NEXT Part feature equivalent of a Part or of an Assembly or both? Assembly will most likely consist of Instances of Parts, or Parts themselves. Part will probably be able to contain a (sub)assembly, but I'm not sure... Part is called "Part", but you can use it for an...
