Re: App.ActiveContainer

Well, actually, after thinking about it a bit, I think it might be best to: 1. revert the original behavior. Then, AutoGroup will probably create the group inside of active container, and put objects there. 2. If ActiveContainer doesn't contain the current AutoGroup's group, AutoGroup should create ...

Re: App.ActiveContainer

One question, though. If you select a group, that group becomes the active container, right? So the active container can change while the draft autogroup is on, which is why you added an observer that updates the draft autogroup when needed. But wouldn't that be a bit against the very idea of that ...

Exclamation mark in the tree view suggesting feature has a wrong support?
It used to do that in past. It looks like it's broken.

Re: PD NEXT: Mapping change and support

Is there any way to call on the attachment editor for a sketch? Yes. Switch to Part WB. Select the sketch, and invoke Part->Attachment from the menu. I initially wanted to add it to Edit menu, to be available in all workbenches. However my change wasn't accepted because it was "spaghetti code&...

Re: Sketcher mini-features

My was after one specific use-case where eliminating pop-up by doing a reasonable thing was proposed. But this follow up proposal is way more aggressive I don't see how it is more aggressive. It still eliminates the pop-up, it still does something reasonable (and I think way more reasonable than ma...

Re: PD NEXT: Mapping change and support

So with your change, I can't change MapMode property to some nonsense, and then switch it back and get it all working as it used to... I'm afraid I can't like this behavior. Translate mode with a face as support should cause an error, but seems like it doesn't. With your example, I recommend you do ...

Re: PD NEXT: Mapping change and support

Hi!
I don't like the idea of clearing the support if the attachment mode is incompatible. This can mess with attachment editor quite seriously.

And I don't understand your problem. Can you explain it in a more bug-report manner, i.e. give step-by-step instructions, what you expect and what happens?

Hack of the day: add a method to Part.Shape (don't do that!)

Hi! The more I get to know python, the more stupid things I can come up with. Here is one interesting. Run this: def meth(self, arg): print self.Area import gc gc.get_referents(Part.Shape.__dict__)[0]["meth"] = meth Now, all Shape objects have the new method meth ! >>> App.ActiveDocument.S...

OK, I just forgot to add Py_INCREF to the Containers module. Doh!
