Re: Fusion operation creates broken object
since the bug is gone in the current 0.17 there is not much to win from this information. Well, actually there is - each distro may use different library versions, so an update of FreeCAD 0.17 would not automatically mean that there is also an update for OCC available, thus if the bug is in OCC the...

Re: Fusion operation creates broken object
I have redesigned the hammer. I didn't use loft, I used Part Design features instead with a trapezoid + attached revolutions. Fusion is no problem. (This time I took the half with the pins, it is slightly easier to handle. Depth of the holes is depth of the pin +1. Your version works and it can be ...

Re: Fusion operation creates broken object
Doh... I did post a reply, but it seems it did not get saved :( In the meantime I tried more things, so here we go again: You have redundant constraints in "Sketch" and "hammer part" which you have to delete. This is weird, because those constraints were not there when I modelled...

Fusion operation creates broken object
Hi, I am stuck with a strange problem, I hope someone has an idea on what is going on. I modelled a part and used the fusion operation to put it all together (the goal is to make a mesh out of it later on and prepare it for 3D printing). However, fusion seems to mess up one part of the object, the s...

importing .stp file with non-latin charsets
Hi, I could not really figure out if this is supposed to be supported or not. I got an .STP file which imports fine in FreeCAD from the 3D point of view, but all descriptions are garbled. The character set of those descriptions is WINDOWS-1251, it's cyrillic. Just to try things out I piped the .STP ...

Re: sketch geometry changes when exiting the sketcher
Indeed, that does the trick, thank you, at least I have a workaround for now.triplus wrote:Note that if i change one parameter to different value and back it doesn't do that anymore in my tests.

sketch geometry changes when exiting the sketcher
Hi, I am not sure if this is a bug or if I am doing something incorrectly... I noticed a strange behaviour today. I have a sketch which is how I want it: part_in_sketcher.png Now, as soon as I hit the "Close" button to leave the sketcher, the geometry of my sketch changes: part_outside_ske...

Re: Bug #2008 Coin3d headers not found (Fedora 21)
Oh crap, my bad... I still had the old git link in there git://git.code.sf.net/p/free-cad/code :( That's from the time when I had the Fedora 21 build issue... I guess from back then I just used the FreeCAD binaries from the Fedora repo, sorry for the false report!
