Re: Boat design
Looks nice! I am planning to make similar boat design. Idea is to use plywood for ribs cover. Finally I would like to get some flat plans for plywood sheets. F.ex. to feed in CNC (or at least to draw on plywood sheets). So the question is how to create them from convex hull part/surface? brgds Janeks

Re: Designing geodesic dome
The macro is nice. All has worked except when checking Make Strut Drawing - then I got empty solids and empty drawing. Re: Designing geodesic dome
Are there any way how could I put constraints on these geodetic?
F.ex. if I would like to set radius as a constraint?

Re: Bug in padding?
Hm, looks like that is the same problem that Renatorivo mentioned in this case too. The Pat004 also is based on sketch that was mapped to face. And in this case padding is done not from that face but outside them. When I created unmapped sketch and then created a pad, than it looks like expected. Th...

Re: Bug in padding?
That is true, but before it was. It was normal sketch a a face of part. O'k try to look on this example - see attached. I created Barrel: -> Sketch007 -> Pad003 -> Sketch008 -> Barrel001 -> Sketch009 -> Pad004 -> Sketch010 -> Pocket004 -> finally unioned Barrel The problem is that Pad004 does not lo...

Bug in padding?
Hi, Starting from some padding x of sketches resulting solid was not one expected from sketch, but some kind of combination with previous pads. See attached file. I think it will be possible to repeat it if Pocket005, Pad004 to 006 will be deleted and then by trying again to pad and pocket them. OS:...

Hi, Are there same new solutions/tools after last post included in last versions regarding "Creating a cross section view in Drawing"? I am using: OS: Windows 7 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.16.5958 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: b3e0e8272f...

Re: Proportional constraints
Uh, nice
Got some success on my rocket heater startup design (attached).
It is just heat riser, but there are three parts and I can change all of them at once by changing heat riser inner core radius.

Proportional constraints
Sorry if it is already answered, but is it possible to create some kind of mathematical constraints, f.ex.
-> a rectangle with golden ratio,
-> a wall thickness, that is in some proportion from a total solid dimension?
brgds
&
thanks in advance

Constraint on pocket depth
Hi, Beginner question: How to set constraint on pocket depth? F.ex.: > if I would like to set that pocket depth is equal to a line from another sketch, > of If I would like to set constraint, that left part (not cut trough) of solid is equal to line or dimension from another sketch? brgds & than...
