Re: Windows Libpack MSVC2015 (VC14)
I assume that officially VC14 libpack does not exist. Having a further look on the forum, I don't want to be relying on Conda for development, because I find the dependencies frustrating to deal with. Again, I can spend time creating a libpack, but I would sooner not re-invent the wheel. Did anyone ...

Windows Libpack MSVC2015 (VC14)
Hi,
Is there are Libpack available for MSVC215 (VC14) x64 that someone has already prepared for FreeCAD?
I have tried searching, but only found up to VC12, and it'd probably easier for someone who is already familiar knowing if this is available.
Many Thanks,
Luke

FreeCAD Development Objectives - 0.18?
Hi everyone, I have been busy the past couple of years and starting to find I have a bit too much time on my hands. Hopefully, at some point i can share where I am. A lot has changed in the FreeCAD development since I was last predominantly here. It seems like a lot of new people have come and some ...

Re: New Module for Technical Drawings (TechDraw)
I just saw the announcement via Facebook of all places. I thought, it cannot be what I spent time working on, but indeed it is!! Admittedly it did bring a huge smile on my face! Just a little update, I am in the process of wrapping up my PhD towards the end of the year (fingers crossed), so will be ...

Re: Materials, physical, optical, for ray tracer and simulat
The idea I had years ago was hooking onto some kind of material properties framework and selecting a XML definitons for each specific ray tracer like a template. This is buried somewhere in my repo as I haven't looked at it for a long while. One thing that hasn't been answered is the idea of real-ti...

Re: Constraint Visuals / Solver Messages in Sketcher - Quest
It would be nice to give a refresh to Sketcher GUI as it hasn't really changed over the last two+ years. I am quite surprised little tasks related to the GUI / user interaction haven't been achieved by now...

Re: Suport for .AMF Filetype Export?
Last year I was talking with one of the author standards (D. Rosen). It's a semi-proprietary standard which was what I was quizzing them over. The standard is a certainly improvement but I remain skeptical and even though there's a small fee associated with obtaining the standard, unless you are inv...

Re: Double-click distance/time in Sketcher
Unless this is changed, the double selection distance in Sketcher should be the default distance and time provided by Qt.

Re: Drawing: SVG and Browser Views
My implementation used QGraphicsView which allows interactivity at a c++ level. I wouldn't advise using QtSVG because it's an extra 'addon' module in Qt and I don't think it's being update / maintained in the long term, especially when it comes to Qt5. Qt5.3 brings a new Qt Webkit engine that will b...
