Re: How can I edit "arc of ellipse"?

Add appropriate constraints, like any other Sketcher geometry, ..... are constraints not working on arc of elipse for you?

Re: Robot Workbench development

You are welcome to work on any area of FreeCAD that interests you. :)

It's a good idea to discuss your plans here before you do much so as to save potentially wasting your time, particularly if you are coding for master.

It would be great to see Robot WB get some love.

Re: FreeCAD in a very old machine

Out of curiosity, how is this controlled? Compiler optimization flags? I am going to cry out of joy... it works!! I am running FreeCAD v.17 in a 15+ old computer running lubuntu 17.04 and I must say it does not lag!! :D If anybody needs to run FC in a pre K8 AMD processor without SSE2, just install...

Hi Maurice
perhaps you could get somewhere by looking at how Drawing and/or TechDraw handle (or determine which are) "hidden lines"?

Re: Trouble with making a grid of posts

If you want to use the Part Design Pattern Tools you have to apply them for each operation, i.e. in your case: Pad - Pattern, Pocket - Pattern. If things get more complicated it might be better to use the Draft Pattern: You model independent from the rest one of your posts; apply Draft->Pattern (wi...

Re: rotating a 3D drawing

I was using a wired mouse and I was able to click and hold on the drawing space and was able to rotate the drawing on all 3 axis any which way I pleased. I switched to a wireless mouse and now I can't do that anymore. Any ideas on why and is there a keyboard shortcut that does the same thing?? Than...

Thanks Norm and others, I'll lock the topic in a few days so you can have a chance to fix anything first if someone finds anything, let me know if you want it locked sooner.

Re: Sketcher mini-features

Well, if I'm using save-as, I am likely wanting to save a file with a different name than what it used to be. Hence pre-filling the old one doesn't make much sense. Most of the time I am using saveas to save a different version of the same thing, hence typically I want the same file name but add/ed...

Re: Torus/Cylinder Union Problem

oddly importing the OpenSCAD script and immediately forcing a recompute does not work. The recompute only fixes something if the underlying cause of the problem is changed, and then it can be repaired/recreated by recompute. Note that this sort of issue with tangent and coplanar surfaces and boolea...
