Re: Path.Area: Welcome, to the new era!

Sure. It's actually a pretty common scenario if the part requires work on multiple sides. Take a part like this and imagine that you want to cut it out of a larger block of material before machining the bottom. There's no Z level that represents an actual part profile. Re: Path.Area: Welcome, to the new era!

I rebuilt with the latest and it correctly builds each step-down part of the path. However, the vertical moves are rapids (G0). After the cutter completes all cuts at a given Z-height, it should feed at the vertical feed rate to the next Z height and then continue. A rapid to the next level could cr...

Re: Path.Area: Welcome, to the new era!

You code works without modification with my latest PathArea branch. Please sync it. You may have some problem pulling, because I rebase the branch with upstream master and force update it. If you have any error, just checkout a fresh copy. I have submit the PR already, it should be in the master so...

Re: Path.Area: Welcome, to the new era!

I've attached a file with my chess pawn part. I select the pawn and run this macro. It gets the 2D projection and then builds the step-downs for a 2.5D contour. While the shapes are all at the correct heights, the path calculated from the list of shapes has all moves at z=0. Do I need to add the ver...

Re: Improvements to Tool Handling (and other fixes) #628

Has any one played with this in the past or see a use for this type of functionality? What I had in mind is something like http://svgnest.com/ here is a port someone has done to python on git hub https://github.com/Jack000/SVGnest/commit/d7182d6e2630359039e7b8ea3161f5de94718925 I've definitely been...

Re: Path.Area: Welcome, to the new era!

That's fine. Just send me the model when you got any problem. I'll post the code. Thanks! I'll take you up on that. That's strange. Are you using my latest PathArea branch? No. I'm using the latest master. So it's your latest which has been merged. I can try rebasing from your branch. Stay tuned. T...
