Do you have VBO enabled in both OSes?
How to check?

This is in global preferences -> Display, but this shouldn't had any impact on the Tree, as this is for Rendering, and still under dev.

Re: #619 Made TreeView stable

Today I found a major performance regression with the new tree view. In 1999 you will find the file FreeCadProblem.step which takes 15 minutes to load in release mode. For testing purposes and to be sure it's caused by this PR I reverted all recent changes of Tree.cpp and Tree.h and then the load t...

Re: Exported STEP-File contains surplus PRODUCT

I will try to have a look if wmayer doesn't have the time. I am currently struggling with a crazy step file which is taking for ever to be opened (went from 33 hours to 4 hours, still some improvement ahead to make it usable). Due to some recent changes in the tree view the load of STEP files is 30...

Re: #619 Made TreeView stable

I have this issues too and I am working on it. I discussed quickly with Ickby a few days ago. The key issue is that the new App::Part object is adding 7 new objects instead of one like in the past. 6 objects are related to the coordinate system. I do have a branch on my system which is eliminating m...

Re: mesh distortion on reload (only quadratic elements)

Is this on 32 bits or 64 bits Windows that the issue appears ? That is strange it did work on MacOS and Linux ;). This reminds me why I am not using Windows (I am kidding guys don't worry) Any idea where exactly in the unv export it's needed to make the enum of the size of an unsigned long? And why...

Re: Exported STEP-File contains surplus PRODUCT

Confirmed. As I said before it's caused by these two changes. However, the changes were needed to fix another issue: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=10221 Hello, that is really strange to be forced to define an Assembly into the step file to be able to keep relative positionning. I am ...

Re: Porting STEP reader to new Part Design

@ickby: Unfortunatly I got crash which were not existing before rebasing on master. This is the workflow I am using App::Part *pcPart = NULL; pcPart = static_cast<App::Part*>(doc->addObject ("App::Part",name.c_str())); for(int unsigned i=0;i<localValue.size();i++){ pcPart->addObject(localV...
