Re: Question about Part Feature

On the plus side when looking at it we see it the same way. On the down side the level of confusion amazes me. I'd say, both. It's a Part, which is itself an assembly of parts. If only it could be that simple. Assembly shouldn't be called a Part in my opinion. That by itself introduces confusion bey...

Part feature with added 2 Body features. Is this a Part or an Assembly?

P.S. Due to missing Revolve feature i settled for linear guide.

Re: appimage

Hi Kunda1.

Thanks for confirming. Reinstalling Firefox didn't fix the problem for Firefox?

P.S. If this is related to some bug on certain Linux distribution i am not exactly sure on how much sense does it make to investigate it from AppImage point of view.

Re: Issue memory

I see some post mismatch happened. Anyway i am guessing: @triplus But if it is a spam bot and it was able to detect such issue and bump it. Well that i guess would be the first time i would see a spam bot being capable of such things? Some artificial intelligence project got loose form one of the la...

Re: Why an object can only be inside one App::Part?

Usage of more abstract references as for example plane or part/container center point. That should reduce the changing topology related issues to some extent. But the thing with abstract is it won't in general replace more concrete approach when using the geometry/topology directly. It will suppleme...

Re: appimage

I don't have time to do any test ATM. But @Kunda1 do you have default (application) web browser set in your environment? On Ubuntu (GNOME) it is easy to change/set one. http://askubuntu.com/questions/79305/how-do-i-change-my-default-browser Here is the documentation for Arch: https://wiki.archlinux....

Re: Debug build of FreeCAD crashes on startup (TabBar seems to cause it)

Can you test if the crash occurs when using official Windows daily build? Tested. Works fine with all modules in. No crash, no broken UI. Yes. And if my assumption was correct it should also work normally with the debug build. Maybe @sgrogan could provide debug build and you could do a test. If eve...

Re: Why an object can only be inside one App::Part?

You lost me here. What do you actually mean by this parent/child relation. Could you explain more, may be with a simple example? When you use expression and take some parameter of parent feature to define geometry of the child feature (through expression). You end up in the same (topology) situatio...
