Re: more info copy to clipboard for Help...About FreeCAD
"uname -r" would show (or give a pretty strong clue to) the distribution and architecture.
The Qt and Coin version might be good to display in the About FreeCAD window.

Re: Problem with symmetry
Yes, that's the "problem" with FreeCAD: a lot of stuff out there (tutorials, YouTube videos, even our wiki) get obsolete fast! But it's quite a nice problem to have. :) I've been thinking that the wiki tutorials should be labeled as to what version of FreeCAD they were made for/with. Of c...

Re: iges import and solid
Draft meaning a taper to the extrusion (or pocket) meant to assist in removal of parts from die casting. Various alloys have specific draft angle requirements. If I recall correctly, volumetric expansion is a main factor in draft angle for die casting. Bottom line is you have to be able to extract t...

Re: Pad with any Angle
This general sort of construction can presently be accomplished using sweep or loft.
I don't know if a specific option to pad along an arbitrary axis is going to be available soon.
Maybe that will come after tools to define workplanes and reference axis has been implemented.
