I'm sure someone will let me know if he says anything worth hearing. Until then, I'm done.

Re: Feed optimization and/or correction implementation
I really would like to look into actually integrating this into FreeCAD, though. I don't think the original plan of "calculate paths and feeds separately" approach works as it exists today. My impression from doing the work above is that you really need some metadata about the path to cor...

Re: Fault in Profile path
Great answer GeneFC! I'm not sure exactly where the problem comes from but the picture reminded me of a project I worked on a few years ago. We were cutting miter corners like that for a wooden gameboard frame. The tolerance was pretty tight. One day I ran them all morning and they worked great. We ...

But since I can't programme and maintain the wiki (because of my poor English skills), I want to contribute my money. Hello Funag, Thank you for considering this! Yes, the ability to receive donations both from individuals and from corporate sponsors/partners has been part of the plan from the begi...

Re: is there objects inspection tool?
If you go to Path or Draft workbench (Might work in others), you can select something in the tree or the 3D window and right click. In the context menu is a 'send to python console'. This will give you a reference to the document object, shape, and subelement in the console so you can inspect them t...

Re: First unsuccessful V-Carve tests
Actually, I think the problem is that there are "tool plunges" being added that don't have a purpose. It's hard to say without seeing the actual diagram and corresponding gcode. Once the diagram is generated, the individual edges are parsed and gcode generated for each. The tool has to ge...

Re: Creating/Adding New Tools
The plastic collar isn't part of the cutting features so I wouldn't bother modelling it. Otherwise, they're just standard endmills. I presume that the collar is to give a repeatable reference point when you insert them into a collet. That offset distance doesn't matter to Path but might matter to yo...

Re: DXF Handling: Paths Forward
It's been a couple years but I once did a survey of all the core workbenches looking for every tool related to importing and exporting. There are a a LOT! Some of them are very obscure, buried in context menus and such. It seems almost every workbench has tools for importing and exporting various ki...
