I'm not sure if I understand your post right; if not, you may add a handmade doodle based on a screenshot of your model showing what you want. From the weekly activity report I see that the topological naming problem is worked on. So this huge task doesn't stall, but we don't know how much is still to do. I guess it's a lot, because we are not yet in the debugging phase.

I have printed transparent material. Until now it came out rather opaque. It works great for things to be seen such as break or turning lights, but not for some sort of a directed beam.

Good argument. They could go all into a separate subitem, similar to a body's Origin, which is usually collapsed.

While you are working on the cosmetics: I would like to see them consistently available as other items in the tree as sub-items of the corresponding view.
