That is not nearly as much fun.

Re: [Discussion] Preparing for the upcoming v0.19 release

Last year some key people have set the release date to happen around April 2020. As that didn't happen i am guessing it could still take a couple of months. Likely there are still some C++ items left on the todo list, due to the merge of big efforts, such as the App::Link. Heavy Draft restructuring ...

Re: FreeCAD 18.1/Ubuntu 18.04.2. LTS: no workbenches after install

Didn't test it, but i guess one way would be to install PySide2 like this: pip3 install PySide2 --user --target path_to_custom_directory As PySide2 won't be installed to any of the standard Python module search paths, FreeCAD won't find it and hence will not try to use it. In other projects you will...

Re: ROS

I have read a bit more about it, basically ROS is a robotics oriented middleware, one can use to build robotics based applications around it. From FreeCAD perspective therefore somebody could i guess create a FreeCAD module, leveraging both FreeCAD and ROS offerings, similar to i guess FreeCAD Robot...

Re: Reimplementing constraint solver

Hi Toralf.

Such projects take a lot of effort and time and occasionally people need to take some time off, otherwise they would burnout.

Re: Discussion: FreeCAD is ready for (deserves) 1.0

I have just read: After almost 17 years in the making, Inkscape 1.0 is out. Let's be fair: this is one of those cases when the humble version number doesn't nearly represent what's actually in the box. The software was perfectly usable right at the point of forking from Sodipodi back in 2003, I'm sp...

@vocx

I can agree with that and hopefully people participating in this thread will be prepared to do some TopoNaming testing in the future.

Re: [AppImage Packaging Issue] Dimensioning not working

Hi @Gary R Looks like you are using Drawing Dimensioning workbench and its Linear Dimension command and not the TechDraw Dimension Length command. I would recommend for you to remove Drawing Dimensioning module altogether, as it is not a suitable choice anymore, when it comes to FreeCAD 0.19. After ...
