Re: problem during adding of a view to a drwaing
But why use that old macro? Because I did not know that was there, or better put, didn't know that was what it was there for. Which once again affirms - normandc => :ugeek: Guess I can dump that old script and learn the new tool. I don't do that much with drawings and that workbench in FreeC...

Re: problem during adding of a view to a drwaing
Yes, your quite right about the need to use different workbenches, but personally I have never had the best luck with extruding sketches and having them play well with others. Maybe it's just me? On that point I agree that one should not extrude sketches, but use Pad instead. What I meant is, somet...

Re: problem during adding of a view to a drwaing
Mark, You "Cut" object has failed, it's not a solid anymore. Turn it around to look at the bottom, it's open. I try to model my parts in a single workbench (Part Design), but sometimes other workbenches are needed. You should not hesitate to use them, but I agree that the base in lasereul...

Re: problem during adding of a view to a drwaing
I took some general measurements from your part and redid the base in the Part Workbench, but still it failed to do the drawing after the cut was made, so it looks like the part Kopf_lange (also seems to of been made with a mix of workbenches) is where the fail is happening. Even so, I'm not sure th...

Re: problem during adding of a view to a drwaing
From a quick look at your file, it seems that you have created a monster when a fuzzy kitten would of worked. ;) In other words it looks like you did a lot of mixing / matching between the Part Design and Part workbenches. I have learned that in FreeCAD, this is not the best way to do things. The en...

Re: Using boost::Python for the Python interface
I've been struggling to understand the PyCXX interface and how to get the new settings classes integrated with the Python code that's already in the CAM module. Would anyone be particularly upset if I left the Python interface to the settings classes either for someone else or for a later date? I'm...

Re: Open Discussion and Call for Screenshots Topics
I like it, it would have the advantage of concentrating them in one spot, they would be easier to find. As for users VS developers... The deal is, would it discourage newcomers from sharing their thoughts in the "Developers" section? I'm a user myself, and I think getting feedback from us...
