So, how should I approach this? My plan is to make two passes in total, one to clear out the material and a second one to clean up the surface.
I would use an adaptive like so:

The paths are made from short G1 and G0 moves to keep constant tool engagement. The machine handles the G1 moves without issue but on the G0 rapid mov...

Why you're asking that? :?
They are the old type of tools in FreeCAD. The newer toolbits are handled differently by simulator.

Worth a test?

Giulio Buccini wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:38 pm This is just a limitation of the CAM-simulator, yes? The trajectory of the paths seems correct to me. :?
Are you using legacy tools or toolbits?

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation

I'm facing issue while adding profile, rough and part off operation to model body and getting following error. Please help me to resolve this issue. The changes required to make the tools work were already queued as a PR. I have just merged that PR with a very quick test and it seems to work now. I...

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation

Note: This addon can be manually installed using the addon manager JFYI On v0.20dev I can't find this feature anymore. This it may have been moved or disabled. Although the addon manager is a lot more flexible under the hood. Not sure if all the changes have made it to the UI though Edit: clarity I...
