For unfolding to work, you must first select a face that resides on the surface of the flattened sheet, then press unfold button.

Of course I did that ...

Here's an other example: Unfolding 'Bend' and 'Bend001' works, adding 'Bend002' still works (Unfold001) - always selecting the green marked face - but after adding 'Bend003' unfolding fails ... creating the red shape. The same when bending left and right of 'Bend' ...

I realized the issue, when working on that:

Tandini,
Can you please attach the non-unfoladable example (in FreeCad FcStd format) ?
Also, please add your system info from the Help -> About -> Copy To Clipboard?

The unfolding code does not detect a situation, where it can not work reliable. The Bend003 needs on each side a small gap to work correctly. On my side it works, when I define those gaps in the bend.

@ ulrich1a: Thanks, your hint solved the issue. I defined gaps with 0,5mm - unfolding works perfect!

Request for upgreade sheetmetal - again ;) .
Maybe some smart programmer will handle with some additional tools for sheet metal module?
This is what I found in bricscad - looks very nice and user-friendly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIJhYVW2f8I - Solidworks have little bit worse managing system.

Mostly needed is:
1) From solid by shell to showing which edges are bends and witch are to rip (from 0:25).
2) Making operations on unfolded sheet and option to fold it again.
3) Operations on cutouts (2:02 from movie).
4) 3 options or ripping edges. Both ripped equally, one edge to another and flipped (1:23 from movie).

Maybe

Hi @efyx.

If you proposed something i am sure developers took a look. The rest is up to them to decide what happens next.
