NodeSet tool

Post by bernd »

It seams no one has ever tried NodeSet. It fits not in the FEM workflow since it works on the mesh and not on the geometry, but I assume it could be usefule for some guys anyway. I just tried it. See https://youtu.be/UtCmciD3ezI

Ahh last change is quite some time ago and was made by Jürgen means we need to encounter our self how it works and how it could be used.

Hi bernd,
I think direct access to the mesh nodes could still be useful. In particular for low level tasks in the FEM. Maybe we should also think about some extensions like EdgeSet, TetraSet and so on. All those tools could be useful if only the mesh is available (i.e. it comes from another program, see e.g. my Fenics import.)

Best wishes
Johannes
