New document-> No active Body -> button 'Create new active body'

Post by HoWil »

Hello,

Every time I start FC and change into Part-Desing-Next I want to start by creating a sketch or a primitive. But before I can start creating anythinay I get a warning stating 'No active Body' (btw: Body should be lowercase ;) ).
Is it possible to add a button into this dialog next to 'OK' stating 'I want to create a new body which is also set active' and create an active body accordingly?
This would help saving much time and streamline the creation process of bodies and part-features.

Thanks in advance,
HoWil

ps.: this warning is not shown for datum points, datum lines and datum planes when there is no active body.

We had this ibehavior initially but it was decided to remove it, as it was very confusing and non-freecad like. I think the way to go is to auto insert a body if the tools cant find one. But i did not yet have time to do this.
