I think that these pages should be merged into one:
Std_Placement
Placement
Tasks_Placement
Renato

Re: Placement
I believe Std Placement should be the one remaining, and maybe change the "Placement" one to a redirect, what do you guys think?
BTW Renato, in the Edit Post toolbar (far right), there is a "wiki" button. When using wiki tags, you only have to paste the name of the page and the complete URL is added automatically.
The code for the link above:

Re: Placement
Maybe you need a special feature, go into Macros_recipes and Code_snippets, Topological_data_scripting.

Re: Placement
Would still argue that Placement is a theory/concept page, while Std_Placement and Tasks_Placement are "how to use the gui" pages.
We don't really have a a concepts section, but concept discussions recur in the Forum - DocumentObject vs Shape, Feature History vs separate Objects, etc

I hadn't see it that way, but I understand now your point of view.wandererfan wrote:Would still argue that Placement is a theory/concept page, while Std_Placement and Tasks_Placement are "how to use the gui" pages.
Your point is very valid, I wonder if a special category should be created to group the theory/concept pages. What could be done would be to link the concept page from the GUI command page, under "Links and example".
But I'm not sure how Std and Tasks are different from each other. The latter is just another way of getting to the same utility. Like for example a typical workbench tool can be accessed from the menu or from the toolbar.

Agreed. Maybe something like:NormandC wrote:But I'm not sure how Std and Tasks are different from each other. The latter is just another way of getting to the same utility. Like for example a typical workbench tool can be accessed from the menu or from the toolbar.
