Just wanted to say thanks for taking the initiative.
Re: Renaming a wiki page
No worries, it's a pleasure. I got through all the pages I could find, except for non-English translations, which I'm hesitant to mess around with, but given the redirect I think the impact will be minimal.triplus wrote:Just wanted to say thanks for taking the initiative.

I have a slight question regarding this:renatorivo wrote:After the changes, you have to mark the page for translation.
Then you can make changes to the translated page.
Pages /en are automatically translated
When I edit a page I mark it for translation, that's ok.
But you say that "pages in /en are automatically translated" - does that mean I don't need to go into the translation tool to update them?
I just edit the page and mark for translation, end of story?

Re: Renaming a wiki page
Hi,
Thanks for your contribution.
The page that must be edited is the page that has no mark of the language. This is the page that is to be marked for translation.
The page /en is a copy automatically produced. On this page you have to change the category only. If it exists. Example [[Category:Documentation]] -> [[Category:Documentation/en]], {{Macro|............}} -> {{Macro/en|............}}
Otherwise, you have translated Std_Measure_Menu/en, but the English page does not reflect the translation.

Great, thank you for the detailed response, I'll go back and clear that up.renatorivo wrote:The page /en is a copy automatically produced. On this page you have to change the category only. Re: Renaming a wiki page
I've updated that now. Coud you confirm that I've properly understood updating the category part? I updated them in the /en translation.renatorivo wrote:On this page you have to change the category only. If it exists. Re: Renaming a wiki page
Well!
About the categories, you can see this change http://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/index.ph ... did=213344
The bottom of each page must show categories localized with the language of the page that appears in the title bar.

That's what's weird, I had made the same change but a "FuzzyBot" passed after me and changed it back... ? (see the older edit where I added /en, just like you...)renatorivo wrote:Well!

Re: Renaming a wiki page
Each time you mark a page, Fuzzy fully recreates the page /en. All previous changes are lost.agryson wrote:"FuzzyBot" passed after me and changed it back... ?
Re: Renaming a wiki page
Which is pretty annoying. I've tried to find how to remove the /en translation, but haven't found a way...renatorivo wrote:All previous changes are lost.
