If the wire, which is used to create roof from, has a simple shape (only 90degree angles) - it's not possible to edit the roof after it's creation. On doubleclick in the 'model' tree the roof enters some strange mode which allows to move and rotate it but not to edit the roof as it should be (enter run length and angles, overhang, etc).
FreeCAD version is 0.16.
Here's an example:

2. I made the shape more complex. Now some corners aren't 90 degrees:
3. As a result, I can enter the proper edit mode by doubleclicking the roof in the tree. On this screenshot from this view angle you can see that this is the roof of the "hacked" shape, two corners are not 90 degrees.

Hi,
No problem for me with 90°-only wire (see attached file).
Probably an error occurred during edit mode for you... Can you turn on the Report view (from menu View->Panels) and check if any error message appears?
