Hatching walls - Question to Yorik

Post by Trenien »

Yorik,
back in October, you talked in one of your blog posts of a new display setting derived from wireframe where the bottom was a hatch (which transfered nicely to a 2d view).

Have you ever gotten around including it in the daily version (and if so, how can it be accessed ?)

Alternatively, could somebody point me toward some place where hatching through using a facebinder is explained in English or French. I've only seen it in German, and I simply don't get it.

Thanks

There are several tools for hatching, all are in daily builds:
- Draft objects that have faces, such as rectangles, circles, wires, etc... can have their faces displayed as a hatching. You only need to set the Pattern and Pattern Size properties. Facebinders, however, I'm not sure they have that feature enabled, I'll check.
- Arch walls can have their bottom face represented as hatching (and the rest as wireframe). You cannot choose the hatching at the moment. To do that, you need to set the Display Mode of your walls to "Footprint".
