An Introduction

Post by dubbs12 »

Howdy, all.

I'm not going to post on any particular topic this evening, but do want to introduce myself since I'm very much looking forward to adding what I can to this endeavor.

I have a B.S. in Computer Science, but haven't written any code -- except on those occasions that I've tried to re-teach myself -- since I graduated from college 13 years ago.

I have in been around or in the construction industry since the age of 6. I have experience with both residential and commercial construction. It's a family business, so to speak. Both my father and younger brother are construction professionals.

At the end of 2014 I earned my Certificate of Management in Building Information Modeling (it's a professional credential I get to put behind my name. Aren't I special?) through the Associated General Contractors of America.

I also got certified in Revit Architecture Fundamentals in August 2015.

BIM is a huge passion of mine. While I likely won't bring any significant coding knowledge, I'm hoping I to bring some of my construction industry knowledge and expertise to this project.

I look forward to working with y'all.

Best regards,

Chris
