Hello, Everyone.

I modeled a simple house in Revit-2017 and exported it to IFC.
Sample House.ifc
(34.35 KiB) Downloaded 77 times
Then I imported that file to FreeCAD which opened fine. Now I exported this file again as IFC, but this time from FreeCAD.
Re-exported.ifc
(70.63 KiB) Downloaded 59 times
When I open the file both in FreeCAD and Revit, I get disturbed model.

This error usually occur whenever the file is exported as IFC from FreeCAD.
Why does so happen? :(

Because Revit hates IFC :)

Seriously though, there are a lot of problems with IFC files in FreeCAD, not only the ones from FreeCAD. I usually look at my files in ifc++, bim vision or solibri, and if everything is okay there, then i consider the file is ok. And even so, often there are problems in revit.

We can try to fix them as they come, but we must identify the issues better.

Also, try linking the IFC file instead of importing in revit, that often works much better
