Thanks very much for the explanation.

The reason I'm asking is, I'm interested in Truss calculation as well. Such trusses could be calculated with FreeCADs FEM module already. The only problem we have at the moment are the hinges. We can not define them by the gui. And of course they look not as good as yours. Ahh if you are interested I have posted an example here viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4973&start=40#p116774
