I've been doing a lot of tinkering under the microscope lately (an aliexpress model, which I believe is the same thing as an "Amscope" though even less expensive). Generally I leave an 0.5x Barlow lens fitted, but have been having to add and remove it a lot for the current project. Unfortunately, this microscope is designed such that the light usually clamps to either the Barlow lens or to an adapter that uses the same threads - adding/removing the lens means also adding/removing the light...
FreeCAD and a 3D printer to the rescue!
While this particular part is a quick hack, it really struck me how amazing this project/world is - a bit of inspiration can turn in to a physical solution with just a little measuring and a few clicks. And, it glows in the dark! -Ian-

Re: Microscope light bracket
Hey! I also have a small microscope mod: a spacer for taking pictures through the microscope with a phone.

Looking good.
