I have milled a knot on 4 times,
The biggest problem was the consideration how I can hold the work piece and still can mill from 4 sides.
Cutter 6 mm 68 mm long machine Stepcraft 600/2 material ash, the wood is very important it must be fine grown and have a good cohesion,
In the first attempt with spruce the bows are immediately broken off
The holding blocks I removed by hand and of course with the hand sharpened, very elaborately.
You can see the size ratio on the last photo

Re: knot
Hello Fritz,
That must have taken a lot of time to sand it so smooth! It is always interesting to see what solutions are required to actually build the part.
It also reminds me of the Möbius strip someone wanted to model just this week in the Help forum. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18183
