Furniture for dachas

Post by _taras_ »

I try to design furniture for the dachas. I will try to add samples.
Problem. I lose an object mirror. The hole in the bed.

Very nice! Your chair model is awesome (but it may not be comfortable, will you add a cushion?) How did you generate the texture mapping?

I don't understand. I think I see, at the left both at the head and at the foot of the bed.

Yes of course :)
How did you generate the texture mapping?
1. Select an object and change the appearance. For example brass and change color.
2. Type --> texture map and choose a nice wood texture

Thanks. I thought you had to select all of the faces. Even if I know FreeCAD's modelling tools pretty well, I never use rendering stuff. :oops:

I do not know if this is the case, but this usually happens because the visibility controls of the base object and the mirrored one are independent (?).

In fact the mirrored object (or its base) does not usually disappear, but it is invisible sometimes even out of its dependence (probably in the root of the groups)! In this case, sometimes closing and opening the file, they return in its proper dependency ...

Is this what happens?

By the way, great works!

The way you get textures is very interesting, could you explain where you type -> texture map?

Code: Select all

View --> texture maping

Probably, I incorrectly using the tool mirror. I mirror your object and use only a copy. Original deleted. In a separate assembly all the parts in place. When a combination of pieces in mirror image object is lost.

It looks like you plan to re-build such furniture. If it will be on pair with the FreeCAD models it will likely turn out to be good.
