With your file open I selected File > New to create another document.
  • Expand everything in the tree view to see all the cub-items.
  • Selected Sketch, Pad, Sketch001 and Pad001, and Sketch002 in the tree view, selected Ctrl+C (copy), clicked the Unnamed tab at the bottom of the screen and did Ctrl+V (Paste)
  • Applied Draft to the outside of the cylindrical portion. By eye, using Sketch002 as the visual reference, it looks like 20 degrees, so that's what I used. The neutral plane (the face that doesn't change size) is the planar face of the cylinder that is furthest in the +X direction. I would normally save this Draft operation for later in the modeling process.
  • From the tree view select Sketch002, then select Part Design menu > Reorient Sketch.
  • In the pop-up menu select the Y-Z Plane and click OK
  • Edit Sketch002 so the circle has a radius of 7.5mm, and locate it on the X axis +50mm from the origin.
  • Close Sketcher.
  • Select the cylinder face that was the neutral plane in the Draft operation.
  • Select the Map Sketch to Face tool:
    Image
  • From the pop-up menu select Sketch002 and click OK
  • Select Pocket, and change the Type from Dimension to through All.
  • Now you have something like this:

Did that help?

You forked your model by creating Sketch005 on Pad001 instead of on Loft.
Oops ... how did I do that ?

Just run the MSI and it should install, (your still on window$ right?) Once installed, if FreeCAD can't find it you will be prompted.

I'm not exactly sure. Somehow you Mapped Sketch004 (which isn't used) and Sketch005 onto Pad001 instead of onto Loft. Maybe the Loft didn't work and nothing was visible in the 3D window so you pressed Spacebar and toggled Pad001 to visible, then created Sketch004 and Sketch005 on Pad001?

Ok ... GraphViz v2.38 installed and seems to be working ok.

Is it important to install Grappa ? If so, how ?

cheers

What is it?

Are you talking about Grappa the distributed memory cluster software?

Forget this question....I see it is a Java lib and GUI that interfaces with Graphviz....note that they say: -
Grappa is no longer active work, so we are not planning major improvements or difficult bug fixes - caveat emptor.
I very much doubt you want that, at least not with FreeCAD.
