Radius dimension

Post by Maavhamt »

Dear All,

Very much appreciate the help you all gave me on my last question. Here's another one. I'm trying to add a radius dimension to a curved corner of a workpiece. I can do linear and diameter dimensions but I'm struggling with radius. According to the help it says, "Radius dimensions: by picking a curved edge with ALT pressed, then pressing SHIFT." But whenever I do this I keep getting diameter, not radius. Has the procedure for radius been updated since the help was written?

Thanks,

Maavhamt.

First you should set Working Plane to create radius dimension on correct plane. After click on Creates a dimension tool. Press and hold Alt key and select the curved edge. Release the Alt key. Now you are in "diameter mode". Now press and hold Shift key and move the mouse around and you should be in "radius mode".

what do the symbols that pop up mean? There are =, +, ... , and few others. Is there a key for these?
