Nice work! Do you plan to print them or have them built somehow?

If so, it would be great to post about it in the From FreeCAD To The Real World topic. :)

Hello,

they will be 3D printed to test if everything works as expected and then machined with CNC in Aluminium.

I have trouble exporting to dxf, just tried FC to .svg and then inkscape to .dxf but inkscape behaves odd...

edit: inkscape is kinda working, still cant export dxf, dwg, Teigha is there, also the dxf stuff is manually copied into...

Delete "Pocket001", edit "Sketch001" and Sketcher a circle on the outside of the hexagon, close "Sketch001", and Pocket again.

There is an error in the very first Sketch ("SketchShaft") and Check Geometry reports RevolutionShaft is not valid. But at the end of the model, Pocket001 is valid. Weird.

I think that if you double-click on the shaft that was created from that tool, the menu should appear. But I can't find it in my Part Design pull-down menu!

Hi bejant,

thx for the tipps, i had to finish a few other parts before that shaft and had training on the cnc inbetween.

i figured out that i can change the size in the constraint menu afterwards, but iam not exactly shure yet if altering in there is doing straight what it should...behaves littlebit weird from my point.

will spend from tomorrow to x figuring out if this is working as i think it should and so on and hope to find out how to recreate these grooves.

For the machining itself it isnt really necessary because its a 3 axis CNC i have to work with and it just does 2d shapes with given depth step after step.

i like the looks of the finished 3d models thats more the reason why i do it ;)

btw Shaft Design Wizard is under Part Design Menu
