I think you better off solving the problem with Part Box primitive. At least, I fail to see the benefit of using PartDesign Box -> Draft Clone vs. Part Box.

True, Part-> Box does not create cyclic dependencies, and the workflow is simpler.

Reviving an old thread after some years:

I managed to center a Additive box by attaching a Datum point (placed at the origin) to the box with Translate origin as the attachment mode. I hope the screenshot is sufficiently descriptive.

I was wondering, any thoughts/comment if this is a good strategy?

The DatumPoint seems useless here, if you use expressions for the placement anyway.

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

Without the DatumPoint I did not have the Placement property to work with. The Additive box itself does not have it!?

The software has changed to the point that it no longer resembles that of 5years ago!

After you have attached the Box offset is available:-
