Open Saved Parts Design File Not Working

Current version Freecad Windows 7

Draw a simple rectangle with poly line.

Close sketch. Reopen sketch. No drawing! No X and Y axis lines.

Only thing there is the grid.

The information provided is not enough to attempt to diagnose the issue mentioned.

Well it's saving now and you can reopen it.

Why do I have to turn on visibility to see drawing again?

Did you try the "Fits the whole content on the screen"-Button?

Did you read the instructions posted in the link that says IMPORTANT?

The link is even in red to show that it is really important.

So you're using Sketcher.

Why do I have to turn on visibility to see drawing again?

You must have turned visibility to off, or you used Construction Geometry (blue).

Why do I have to Toggle Edit to start using drawing again?

Only because that's just how it works. You can also double-click the Sketch in the hierarchy tree to open it in Sketcher.

In Turbocad (and probably every other CAD program) you open your

saved program and it's ready to go right where you left it?

Why is this saved 'Parts Design' doing this?

Hi, click on Model with your mouse and then you can see the info in the tree you want to see

That's okay but I want to see the drawing too.

I had to Toggle Edit to get it to appear on screen.

Why does the program work like this?

Hi, when you see sketch in the left panel the word is in grey. That means it is not visible. Select it with your mouse and toggle the space bar. The word is now in black color and visible in the screen. When you do pads and pockets only the last thing you did is visible and all the previous steps are invisible automatic. This is very useful when you work with freecad
