Re: TechDraw - projections (Arch WB) still having trouble.

Ok I tried creating section planes, and than using techdraw Insert view of 'arch section plane' and it's not working. I get only text with 'Archview' surrounded by a dashed rectangle, but now view of my section plane on the drawing page via techdraw.

I also tried using Shape2Dview and got nothing at all.

I am getting an error in the report view when using the 'insert view of arch section plane' from within the Techdraw workbench. It reads

" Arch workbench deactivated

Hi Yorik,

It's too large a file for the forum, but can be downloaded from here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3fWu ... lVFbjlaU2s

Ok thanks, I found the problem, it's fixed with git commit 67fdbfdbeb. But this is a simple cosmetic problem when the section plane has no object.

The real issue with your model is that the section planes are empty. You must specify which objects are seen by them, by double-clicking on them and adding objects (also works using the Arch Add button). The easiest way is to place all your objects into a group an add that group to the section plane.

okay, I see how you mean to add them to the section plan by double clicking them and adding them. This time I tried from having all the objects fused but I am still not getting an expected result when using techdraw 'Insert view of section plane' , all that displays is a dashed rectangle with 'Archview' displayed in middle of rectangle.

Report view stating that
"Section: Skipping invalid object: Fusion005"

Also noted that when trying to position section plane around it seem buggy, ie I was wanting one section plane perpendicular to the plane, when adjusting about the axis if I chose 90 degress it would show it at 90degress but as soon as click ok it would put the section plane back to 0degress. I then chose 45 degrees, it showed at 45 degree but as soon as clicked ok it showed at 90degree. Also the adjustment for positioning seems wrong, I was tring to adjust section plane along one axis but it wasn't moving on that axis but another axis. From memory it was when adjusting the X axis, instead of moving it along X axis it would move along Z axis.
