Something as simple as a cube, broken!?!?!

Post by analog999 »

I'm shocked to find this. Make a cube in Part, increase size to 183mmx103mmx1mm. A couple corners of the rectanglular "cube" will now be cut off, as if automatically chamfered.

Now, make a sketch of a rectangle 183mm x 103mm and then pad it to 1mm. Same thing!

Anyone know what's going on? This seems really odd to me, and would make it difficult to make larger parts.

Please provide your FreeCAD details. And than hit "fit all" in your view, as most likely you are on 0.17 and this is a known viewport Issue of the developer version.

Hi!
As ickby said, this is most likely viewport-related problem. For me, switching to perspective view, then zooming out, then back to orthographic usually helps.

BTW, info mostly worthless.
  • No revision number provided

There's a preferred method to provide the complete FreeCAD info, and it's explained at the end of a very visible link.
