I anm trying to create what I thought would be a simple ice cream cup to learn the features of FreeCAD to use with a 3D printer and I'm hitting a brick wall. No matter what I do I cannot get a swept part to merge as a solid. I've tried editing the sweep so that it doesn't intersect, but nothing seems to work. I know the part in't perfect but I'd like to turn the attached part into a solid piece. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any advice and help

Re: Union Merge with Swept part
Hi, welcome to the forum
The helix can be given an angle, with a big circle on the bottom of the icecream and a smaller circle on the top you need only one sweep. The solution for this problem was more simple than you were looking for, I gave it a strawberry flavor

Thank you so much! I'll take a look at your update in the morning. I knew I was making it harder than necessary.
