Making a part from an object created in the Part workbench

Post by kcleung »

After seeing:

https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Assembly_Basic_Tutorial

I understand that a body is a single piece of object that is created by PartDesign, and I can make an instance of that body as a part, with its own local coordinates. Then one or more parts can become a product (aka subassembly), which again has its own local coordinates.

However, suppose if I have some objects created using constructive solid geometry using the Part workbench, how can I make an instance of that object as a "part"?

I plan to make a model of a machine, with some parts produced in the Part workbench.......
