I have an issue with the Sketch001 that i want to use to make a pocket (see attached file).
Message: Failed to validate broken face
I'm not able to fix this issue. Maybe you can support me. I tried to make this Sketch multiple times and in small steps but always the same issue.
My FreeCad Version:
6703(Git)
2016/04/26 13.03.07
Thx.

Re: Issue with faces of sketch
Hi, welcome to the forum
As you can see in the inage I discovered 2 things in your sketch
1) A line is drawn rwice
2) A coincident point is missing
After correcting these problems the pocket operation will succed

Re: Issue with faces of sketch
Your FreeCAD is outdated. Please use 0.16.6707 or 0.16.6706 (depending on your OS). There have been some bugs fixed._WG_ wrote: My FreeCad Version:

Re: Issue with faces of sketch
There was no issue here but it is better to have the version with less bugs which everyone else here uses.

Re: Issue with faces of sketch
Hi William,
i can not reproduce your findings within the Sketch. All lines are closed... 1 degree of freedom
Version 6707 2016/11/11
Thx.

Re: Issue with faces of sketch
If you want to connect two lines use a coincident constraint on the end points, don't use the point-on-line constraint. Even if the end points have exactly the same position, they are not connected.
BTW: point-on-line doesn't even mean that the point is on the visible line segment. The point can lie anywhere on the infinite projection of the line.
