Rotary Saw Blade Modeling

Post by axuwon »

Hi, everyone!

Can you give me a clue on what is the best way to model the rotary saw blade presented in attachment. Sure I can do everything "by hand" but I feel that the better way is either to use Multitransform feature in Part Design or to use the python scripting.

- Model the inside.
- Model one tooth.
- Use Draft->Polar pattern with 360° and number of teeth, don't forget to fuse.

As an alternative you can directly model one pie slice and use the polar pattern.

One of mine! This one has voice (English language) to match the captions:

In YouTube click on "Show more" below the video to see the table of contents.

I can think of a few different ways to model that saw blade...

What a phantastic video, topped by the clickable table of contents. I bookmarked it for further reference.

But why did you get 7 dislikes? Did you kick someone with a microcelly footlace?

I disabled comments, so I don't know. Maybe because some people are never happy?
