I am trying to put a hole in this bracket, and I'm worried I may have made a mistake. I was able to sketch the hole I need on the bracket but I can't figure out how to get an extrusion and then subtract to make a hole. Forgive me for I am new to this program. I need the extrusion to be squared up to that plane, but as you can see in the picture it will only go in the X Y or Z direction, whereas I need it to go somewhere in between.
I am assuming maybe there is a way to change the normal direction of the plane? When I extrude, I haven't been able to figure out a way to have it be perpendicular to the sketches plane.

Re: Trouble extruding on an angled plane
Welcome to the forum
If you want something like this
you dryw the sketches onto the faces and create pockets I have at the moment only 0.17 installed, here is my demo file.

Re: Trouble extruding on an angled plane
I'm not having any luck with the pockets... It doesn't show up. Maybe I am screwing something up with how the faces were made? I drew the profile of the bracket and then extruded it. Not sure if that matters. I am able to make a pad in the Part Design workbench, but when I try to make one and then subtract it to get the hole, I have no luck...

you make first your base shape (for fast I do a pad),
then the sketch and a pocket
