polar pattern around standard axis?

Hello everybody!

I often use Part.PolarPattern by way described above by triplus.

But it will be far more convenient to allow use axes of cylindric faces (or even planar arcs and circles). Almost all parts with polar patterns have central hole, pin, rim or another cylindrical feature. Are there any plans or tickets for this?
