Hi, I'm designing a robot head, and I'm trying to use the pattern features in the Part Design for creating a smile.
I've added MouthSketch, and created a hole with MouthPocket. Now I'm trying to use PolarPattern to turn that hole into a smile, but I'm only getting a sadface.
I've tried the "Reverse" option, but then the mouth goes down and outside the face. I've also tried mirroring the sadface, but haven't gotten anywhere.
Any tips on how to turn the frown into a smile? I've added the project file.

Re: Turning a frown into a smile?
You could select a different axis of rotation.
Re: Turning a frown into a smile?
What shoogen said. And where to get that different axis? What I did with your file was to make a small triangle "nose" and use the inside edge of the apex for the axis. After that, if you don't want the nose there, simply make another sketch that covers the area and reverse pad it away. Like so -
Nose pocketed into face with Polar pattern axis shown in green Next operation, nose Pocket removed with sketch and reverse Pad. Mark

Thanks, the trick with the nose worked fine!
